Warm Window Fabric
Finished shade width = Warm Window cut width

Finished shade length + 4" = Warm Window cut length

Note: When measuring Warm Window cut length, do not include the selvage edge in your measurement. Although it is left on, it will be turned up inside the hem. Meaure and cut Warm Window length by starting with the bottom most 4" channel.

Warm Window fabric is available in 45" and 60" widths. The fabric has two selvage edges which are not included when considering your shade length. The selvage can be used for seam allowances when seaming widths together to fit your window dimensions. When one width of Warm Window is too short for your window, you can add another width to it by stitching a horizontal seam along a line of channel quilting in the first piece. Selvage edges are then trimmed off. When the fabric is opened up, the channel lines remain an equal 4" apart.

1 width of 45" Warm Window = Shade length up to 40"
Cut shade length up to 45".
2 widths of 45" Warm Window = Shade length up to 84"
Cut shade length up to 88".
3 widths of 45" Warm Window = Shade length up to 128"
Cut shade length up to 132".

1 width of 60" Warm Window = Shade length up to 52"
Cut shade length up to 60".
2 widths of 60" Warm Window = Shade length up to 108"
Cut shade length up to 120".

Cover Fabric
Finished shade width + 3-1/2" = Cover fabric cut width

Finished shade length + 12-1/2" = Cover fabric cut length

Determine how many fabric widths are required for your shade:

Shade cut width
divided by cover fabric width
= # of cover fabric widths

Determine how many yards of cover fabric you need:

# of fabric widths
x cover fabric cut length
= inches of cover fabric
divided by 36"
= yards of cover fabric

If your fabric has a pattern, you need to calculate extra yardage to match pattern widths.

Cover fabric cut length
divided by pattern repeat
= # of repeats
x pattern repeat
= adjusted cut length
